This policy explains how Cell Safes LTD handles cancellations, returns and refunds for eligible consumer orders placed at a distance in the United Kingdom. It does not reduce statutory rights relating to faulty, misdescribed or otherwise non-conforming goods.
Changing your mind
For eligible goods ordered online or by another distance method, you normally have 14 days after the goods are delivered to tell us that you wish to cancel. You do not need to give a reason. After notifying us of cancellation, you normally have a further 14 days to send the goods back.
To notify us, provide your name, order reference if available, the goods concerned and a clear statement that you wish to cancel. We will provide return instructions appropriate to the order.
Condition of returned goods
You may inspect goods to the extent reasonably necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning, similar to what would be possible in a shop. A deduction may be made where handling goes beyond that and reduces the value of the goods. Please return all supplied keys, batteries, fixings, manuals and packaging components where reasonably possible.
Return costs
Responsibility for the direct cost of returning unwanted goods will be explained with the order information and return instructions. Where goods are faulty or otherwise fail to conform to the contract, return arrangements are handled in accordance with statutory rights and the circumstances of the case.
Refund timing
Where a valid cancellation applies, refunds are made within the period required by law, generally no later than 14 days after the returned goods are received or after satisfactory evidence of return is provided where applicable. The refund includes the amount due for the goods and, where required by law, the standard outbound delivery charge. Additional cost chosen for a more expensive delivery method is not necessarily refundable beyond the standard delivery amount.
Faulty or misdescribed goods
Separate statutory remedies may apply if goods are faulty, not of satisfactory quality, not fit for a particular purpose made known in the relevant circumstances, or not as described. Contact us promptly with the order details and a description of the issue so that the appropriate remedy can be assessed.
Installed or mounted safes
Mounting a safe may involve drilling, anchors and contact with a wall or floor surface. If you are considering cancellation, avoid installation or alteration beyond what is reasonably necessary to inspect the product. Damage caused by installation may affect the value of the returned goods, without limiting rights relating to a genuine fault.
